Moonlight Trail

The full moon rises over a bank of clouds on an evening walk on the Raven Ridge trail in the Dolly Sods Wilderness. On this evening in late summer there were Barred Owls hunting in the meadow and they frequently swooped by us and sometimes hovered gracefully for a moment before flying swiftly away on their large fringed wings in complete silence.
